Wills, Trusts, & Estate Planning

Why should I have a will?

A person may create a will simply to control the distribution of their property after their death, though it certainly is not the only reason. A professionally prepared will can make sure money isn't lost to taxes, fees, and excessive administration costs. A person may use a will to create trusts to provide for relatives or charitable organizations, or simply wish to specifically name the person who administers their estate. The point is, when you decide to make a will, you are in control of your estate.

My estate isn't valuable enough to need a will.

No estate is too small to benefit from a will. Anyone who cares about their estate's distribution after their death would benefit from having the peace of mind associated with a will.
