Matt Stewart was born in Petersburg, Virginia, and has been a lifelong resident of the Tri-Cities area. A 2004 graduate of Prince George High School, Mr. Stewart was a three-year varsity letterman and active in a number of local organizations. After high school, Mr. Stewart earned a B.S. in Civil and Environment Engineering from Virginia Tech, where he graduated in 2008. While at Virginia Tech, Mr. Stewart was admitted to Chi Epsilon, a national honor society recognizing scholarship in civil engineering.
After spending two years as an engineering contractor, Mr. Stewart elected to attend law school at the University of Richmond's T.C. Williams School of Law where he earned the degree of Juris Doctor in 2013. It was during law school that Mr. Stewart discovered his passion for litigation, and developed a talent for advocacy and client representation. In addition to completing required law school studies, Mr. Stewart received awards and honors recognizing both written and oral advocacy.
As a native of the Tri-Cities area, Mr. Stewart is honored for have the opportunity to serve friends, neighbors, and other members of the community in accomplishing their legal needs.
